It has 3 major activities :

• Publishing and distributing the book "The GSM System for Mobile communications", which has been written by the associates, and which is now considered as a reference throughout the world.
• Creating and conducting technical courses on technical aspects of GSM-based telecommunication systems
• Providing high-level consultancy on technical aspects of GSM based systems

Both Michel and Marie-Bernadette have graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris (France). Marie-Bernadette has also obtained an M.Sc. from Stanford University, CA (USA).

They have both been actively involved with the development and evolution of the GSM standard, since 1983, in particular in the specification of the signalling, security and radio transmission standards.

Marie-Bernadette was a member of the permanent GSM expert team which was responsible for the management of th GSM specification. She then chaired the sub-group of the GSM standardisation committee dealing with radio interface signalling. Michel has been chairing standardisation groups since 1988, in particular SMG.3, the group in charge of GSM architecture and protocols, as well as of GSM evolution towards UMTS. He is currently chairman of the OMA security group.

Marie-Bernadette worked several years for France Télécom, as well as Michel who then joined Matra Communication (later to be part of Nortel). They are now both working as private consultant telecommunications engineers, in particular in the area of GSM systems.
